The Rock of Companies Returns for its 6th Annual Community Challenge
Aug
02
The Rock Family of Companies is back with its sixth annual Community Challenge. The friendly fundraising competition includes select charities that compete to raise the most money with the top teams winning cash prizes. The Challenge starts on Monday, August 2nd at 12 p.m. ET and runs through Friday, August 27th at 4:59:59pm ET. The organization that raises the most wins a $15,000 donation towards their cause. Second place wins $10,000, third wins $5,000, fourth wins $2,500, and fifth place wins $1,000!

Join Phoenix Children’s Hospital in the friendly competition and any funds raised will get them that much closer to their goal of $50,000. All the monies will benefit the Homeless Youth Outreach (HYO) program at Phoenix Children’s. Arizona communities suffer one of the highest instances of childhood homelessness in the country, with nearly 30,000 youth experiencing homelessness in the state. Children who are homeless endure more health problems than their peers. They visit hospital emergency rooms more frequently and are exposed to increased health stressors than their peers with stable housing. Through Phoenix Children’s mobile medical units (Crews’n Healthmobiles) travelling around the Valley and fixed site clinics, they provide holistic wraparound services that address the medical and behavioral health concerns of each patient, including dispensing much needed pharmaceuticals and medical supplies; assisting patients with medical and community referral follow up; and, completing comprehensive health screenings—all free to patients and their families.
