The first annual "Draws for Paws" charity auction for Operation Shockwave and Mission2Alpha will take place at The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen on June 18 from 3 to 6 p.m. Proceeds from this free event will go to support the Operation Shockwave program which provides service dogs, certified dogs training and holistic healing for veterans all free of charge.
The complementary service animal training program is the only program in Arizona to offer additional emotional support therapies grounded in integrative healing practices. They offer veterans all necessary equipment and complete 10-month training program for service dogs. They will also pair veterans with training service dogs if they don't have on available to train.
The auction will feature hand-made U.S. Flag with the United States military branches embroidered. Prices range from $50-$100 dollars and other monetary donations are encouraged. More information on the event is available here.
The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen is hosting the event and serving up famous entrees like the Triple D burger featured on "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives." The restaurant is dedicated to supporting veterans and features a wall of service patches honoring residents who served in the military.
There will be veterans from all ages present and representatives from both nonprofits honoring their service.
