Local Domestic Violence Shelter Partners with The Home Depot for Essential Donations
New Life Center (NLC), located in the West Valley and one of the largest domestic violence shelters in the country, recently partnered with the Home Depot located at 9081 W. Washington Street in Tolleson, to receive in-kind donations from the community through April 9. In addition, The Home Depot gifted the center with three tankless water heaters. Over the past few months, New Life Center’s water heaters have steadily declined in their effectiveness, making this donation one that was desperately needed.
“The support of our community makes a tangible difference in the lives of people impacted by domestic violence,” said Jessye Johnson, NLC's chief strategy and administration officer. “We are so thankful for The Home Depot and their assistance in providing much needed supplies and appliances to our center.”
Items such as mattresses, hair conditioner, shaving cream, mattress covers, baby diapers (sizes 3-4, 4-5 and regular 6), baby bottles and water bottles were gifted at The Home Depot Tolleson location.
