The locally owned Thai Chili 2 Go concept has been taking the Valley by storm since its inception. Initially developed in the far East Valley, Thai Chili 2 Go has since expanded into Scottsdale, North Phoenix, the Biltmore area, and it just opened the doors to its ninth location in Tempe this past October. With so many fast-casual concepts popping up all over town, Thai Chili 2 Go has set itself apart from the others by offering a healthy yet delicious approach to traditional Thai cuisine.
“When I started this company with the very first location, it was always my intention to bring an elevated fast-casual experience to the community as well as offer a healthy menu that is inclusive for people with all types of dietary needs or preferences,†says Akshat Sethi, owner of all the Thai Chili 2 Go locations. “I am proud to continue to serve consistently delicious, authentic and affordable Thai cuisine made with the finest ingredients at all nine Valley locations.â€
Thai Chili 2 Go offers an approachable menu of Thai food favorites from starters to desserts. Starters include items such as Thai Dumplings made with ground chicken, and soups including Tom Yum Gai and Tom Kha Gai. Signature sauces include Spicy Basil (with a vegan option) and Pad Prig Pao, a vegetable-based stir fry with homemade chili sauce and choice of white or brown rice or rice noodles. The menu also features a wide array of curries including Red, Yellow, Green, Mussamun and Panang.
Entrees include familiar items such as Thai Chowmein, Thai Fried Rice and Pad Siew. Many of the menu items are naturally or purposefully gluten free as well. Most of the dishes incorporate a lot of fresh vegetables, and every ingredient down to the oil that the food is cooked in is considered to ensure the highest quality and attention to health. Thai Chili 2 Go uses a non-GMO rice bran oil, and it might be surprising to hear that they don’t use canola or soy in any of their recipes.
The health element of his menu is something Sethi takes very seriously. He wants to get Thai food right and to share a clean eating experience with his diners that is so delicious, people may not even realize they are eating healthy. With that, all the restaurants’ items are made from scratch in the company’s corporate kitchen by the executive chef.
Sethi is dedicated to offering his customers a high-quality experience all around — from the customer service to a quick in-and-out experience, to custom dining options for all tastes, needs and desire. Guests can also take the drivers’ seat when it comes to not only vegan or gluten-free options but also their heat preference. Guests can select their level of heat, making their dish as mild or spicy as they wish — with “Thai hot†serving as somewhat of a challenge to heat-seeking eaters.
With the recent opening of his ninth location under his belt, Sethi feels a combined sense of pride and accomplishment. “The support and demand for more Thai Chili 2 Go locations has been truly remarkable,†he says. “I’m proud to offer local diners an authentic, high-quality and delicious fast-casual Thai food destination that exceeds their expectations for both quick yet excellent customer service and wholesome meals made with the finest ingredients.â€
In addition to giving guests a healthy dining experience, Thai Chili 2 Go’s fast-casual concept makes it a perfect lunchbreak stop or quick dinner on the go and its menu is value-based, with each item costing $10 or less. Using technology, Sethi has made ordering and pick-up a breeze with a Thai Chili 2 Go app, online ordering option with “skip the line†pick-up, and delivery partners such as UberEats, Postmates, Door Dash and GrubHub. The North Phoenix location even features a ZIVELO self-order kiosk for customer convenience as well as traditional counter ordering options.
Every Thai Chili 2 Go is open daily from 11 a.m.-9 p.m., offering diners a way to satisfy their craving for healthy, affordable and authentic Thai food. To learn more, or find the closest location near you, visit
