Haldi Indian Cuisine
Haldi Indian Cuisine has two locations in the Valley – one in Phoenix (located at 2945 E. Bell Road, #102) and one in Surprise (located at 13761 W. Bell Road, Ste. 213). The Surprise location opened this past May.

Rengarajan Leshmanan, Haldi Indian Cuisine owner and chef, says that the two locales are known for “healthy and tasty Indian food that is prepared from freshly procured raw materials by qualified and professional chefs.”

He adds that popular dishes include Honey Butter Chicken, a meat sampler, samosa, naan (Indian bread) and its tandoori items.

For those who are new to Indian cuisine, experienced Indian food aficionados recommend trying Haldi’s popular buffet. “They [the food items] are tasty and flavorful and, above all, healthy,” Leshmanan shares.

In addition to the fresh buffet, Haldi’s menu includes vegetarian and non-vegetarian friendly starters and several options of Hyderabadi Dum Biryani, which is described as “fragrant basmati rice layered, slow cooked with tender pieces of meat or vegetables marinated in yogurt, Indian herbs and spices.”

They also serve dosa, which is a type pancake from India, paired with a variety of ingredients. Haldi also offers chat, which is “a term describing savory snacks, tossed with mint, tamarind and tangy masala,” and a kids menu. In addition there are some Indo-Chinese dishes, a variety of desserts and beverages, and seemingly countless house specials and combos.

Leshmanan shares that both locations have continuous new specials and items coming in. They also offer delivery through various delivery services such as Grub Hub, Door Dash and others (details are on their website).

Like many local dining treasures, Leshmanan notes that the restaurant’s staff makes Haldi a great place to dine.

“Our entire team includes chefs, managers and working staff. They are all very important for running a restaurant business,” he shares. “The chefs are all experienced and take care to make sure it’s quality food all of the time.”
